Radhastami is celebrated on the eighth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla paksha ashtami) in the month of Bhadra, it is held fifteen days after Krishna Janmashtami. Radhastami is celebrated as the Appearance of Srimati Radharani, who is Krishna’s greatest devotee, the feminine aspect of the absolute truth, and Krishna’s energy personified. It is only by obtaining the mercy of Srimati Radharani one can easily achieve Krishna-bhakti. Devotees fast till noon, grand maha bhoga offering is made after abhishek, grand aarti is done and then enjoy a sumptuous feast prepared and offered to the lord with love and devotion.
