ISKCON North American Medical Professionals Retreat 2016

2nd Annual North American ISKCON health care professionals retreat will be held in Gita Nagari from September 22-25th, 2016. 

It is open to any professional in the health care field and retreat is meant to promote collaboration and networking among health care professionals in North America. Students/residents/fellows currently in the health care field or simply aspiring to choose health care as a professional are welcome as well. 

Mission statement:

To connect and inspire all devotees within the medical profession; to improve our practice of Krishna consciousness; to assist one another to improve our service to Srila Prabhupada: and to expand Krishna consciousness amongst medical professionals.

Vision Statement:

1. To create a forum for all physician devotees and those within the medical field to meet annually and have fellowship.

2. Through association, to become better devotees and better medical professionals.

3. To equip physicians, medical professionals and students to blend their devotional life with their professional pursuits.

4. To understand how to meet the challenges within their profession as well as maximize their opportunities.

5. To develop Plans and Strategies how together medical practitioners can best serve ISKCON’s mission, Srila Prabhupada and the body of ISKCON devotees within North America.

6. To unite together in effective ways to increase the number of medical professionals who take up sadhana bhakti.

7. Establish a forum to get to know one another and network with one another on many levels throughout the year.

We would however like to spend some time explaining the  REGISTRATION TYPES  to support you in completing this registration process. We realize that our guests will have varying needs and our goal is to do our best to facilitate all of you.

Therefore we have the following  Types of Registration :
1.  $200  – per adult for  Registration  and on-site  Gita Nagari Dham Accommodation , all inclusive
2.  $150  – per adult for  Registration only  and  off-site Accommodation  at a nearby Motel of your choice  at your own expense  (please visit our FAQs page for the list of nearby Motels)
3.  $150  – concession and subsidized rate for Medical Professionals in Training and Students for Registration  and  on-site Gita Nagari Dham Accommodation .  If you choose to  stay off-site, the rate is still $150 , and the  accommodation  is from  your own expense
4. $100  – Children or youth between ages 6 years to 17 years. The Organizers are very committed to ensuring that our families are supported to attend this event and for this reason, children under 6 years of age can attend free of charge .

ISKCON Rajahmundry State Wide Contest 2016

As a Part of ISKCON’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations, ISKCON Rajahmundry is organising State wide Contest on ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya Srila Prabhupada’s Biography.

Srila Prabhupada’s Life is very inspirational, hence Youth inspired all over the world. As In America, Hippies Cult was changed to Regulated Life due to Preachings of Srila Prabhupada. His Books are distributed in 120 languages and some of these books have been prescribed as the text books in prominent Universities and colleges around the world.

Enrollment Date is from 11-07-2016 to 31-07-2016 and Examination Date ( Tentatively) is on 18-09-2016.

Enrollment Process:

1. For Category 1 & 2 applicants, meet ISKCON temple/ representatives during Enrollment period /through Schools and Colleges. Entry Fee: Rs.100/- (“Srila Prabhupada” BOOK is Gifted).

2. For 3rd category applicants, meet ISKCON temple/ Representatives or Enroll through Online Process. Entry Fee: Rs.100/- (“Srila Prabhupada” BOOK is Gifted).

3. For all Online applicants, Entry fee is Rs.150/- ( Entry Fee: Rs 100/- + Postal Charges: Rs 50/-) The Srila Prabhupada Book will be dispatched through courier/ Post to your Postal address.

Manchester Ratha Yatra & Annual Chariot Festival 2016

ISKCON Manchester invites everyone to the most joyous auspicious Festival of Chariot, “Jagannath Ratha Yatra” where Their Lordships Sri Jagannath, Baladev and Subadra shower us with Their mercy by coming to meet us as we welcome them with sankirtan and chanting of the Holy Name!

Be a part of the most awaited festival of the year which celebrates the Journey of Lord Jagannath with His elder brother Lord Baladev and Sister Lordess Subhadra on a Huge Chariot, pulled by hand in grand procession.

ISKCON Japan Janmashtmi 2016

Join us in celebrating the advent of Lord Krishna with our biggest festival of the year – Janmashtami! It is with immense pleasure we would like to inform that Bhajan Samraat Shri Anup Jalota & famous Hasya-Kavi Shri Surendra Sharma will join us on 11-Sep-2016 (Sunday, 2 to8  pm) to celebrate Janmashtmi Mahotsav – The Divine Appearance Day of  Lord Shri Krishna. There will be various spiritual & cultural programs to entertain & enlighten one and all with Sumptuous Dinner Prasadam thereafter.

It will be a great opportunity to bring our Japanese and other foreigner friends who may like to experience Indian culture and performances. Awaiting everyone’s kind presence to mark this rare event with record attendance.
